1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Copenhagen Unfiltered (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit this website or book a Walking Tour, City Hall Wedding, or Photo & Video Session with us. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.

2. Who We Are

Copenhagen Unfiltered is a sole proprietorship based in Copenhagen, Denmark. For any questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at hello@copenhagenunfiltered.com or +45 69 30 36 06. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

3. What Personal Data We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Name, email address, and phone number, provided when you make a booking or contact us
  • Booking details, such as chosen service, date, time, number of guests, and any special requests
  • Payment information for Walking Tours paid by card (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your card details)
  • Messages you send us by email or through the booking form
  • Photos or video taken during a wedding or photo/video session, where applicable

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

  • Process and confirm your booking
  • Communicate with you about your booking, including confirmations, reminders, and any changes
  • Take payment for services booked
  • Respond to questions or requests you send us
  • Meet our legal and accounting obligations

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Bookings & Payments

Booking and scheduling data is processed through Amelia, the booking system running on this website, and is stored on our website’s server. Card payments for Walking Tours are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment provider; Stripe handles your card details directly and we never see or store them. Deposits and remaining balances for City Hall Weddings and Photo & Video Sessions are currently paid manually by bank transfer or cash, arranged directly between you and us by email.

6. Email Communications

Booking confirmations and related emails are sent using WP Mail SMTP together with Brevo, our transactional email provider, which delivers emails on our behalf. We do not add you to a marketing newsletter unless you separately opt in.

7. Cookies & Analytics

This website uses a limited number of cookies, mainly to remember your cookie consent choices and to support the booking system. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track individuals across websites. Full details are available in our Cookie Policy.

8. Third-Party Service Providers

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run our business, and only to the extent necessary:

  • Amelia (booking management) — stores your booking data on our website
  • Stripe (payment processing) — processes card payments for Walking Tours
  • Brevo (email delivery) — sends booking-related emails on our behalf
  • Nordicway (web hosting) — stores website and booking data securely

These providers only process your data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

9. Data Retention

We keep booking and customer data for as long as needed to fulfil your booking, respond to any follow-up questions, and meet our bookkeeping obligations under Danish law (generally 5 years for accounting records). Photos from weddings and photo/video sessions may be kept for longer for portfolio purposes, in line with the usage rights described in our Terms & Conditions, unless you ask us to remove them.

10. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data, where we are not required to keep it
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@copenhagenunfiltered.com. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), www.datatilsynet.dk.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including secure hosting and using established, reputable third-party providers for payments and email delivery.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available on this page.
